Welcome to the author guidelines for the Journal of NFHD. Please read the following instructions carefully before submitting your manuscript. Adherence to these guidelines is mandatory and will ensure the efficient processing of your submission.
Prior to submission, authors must ensure they meet the following essential prerequisites:
Journal Scope & Aims
- Confirm that your manuscript aligns with the Aims and Scope of the Journal of NFHD. Our journal publishes high-quality, original research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses in the fields of human nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, clinical and public health nutrition, dietetics, and related life sciences. Manuscripts must demonstrate a clear relevance to human health and biomedical science.
Originality and Ethical Standards
- Originality: Submitted manuscripts must be original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Ethical Approvals:
- For studies involving human subjects, authors must declare that the study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and was approved by an appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee. The approval number must be provided in the manuscript.
- For studies involving animal experiments, authors must state that institutional and national guidelines for the care and use of laboratory animals were followed.
- Informed Consent: For any research involving human participants, informed consent must be obtained. Patient confidentiality must be protected.
- Clinical Trial Registration: All clinical trials must be registered in a public trials registry (e.g., ClinicalTrials.gov, ISRCTN Registry) prior to participant enrollment. The trial registration number and URL must be included at the end of the abstract.
Authorship Criteria
- Authorship must be based on the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) recommendations. All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the conception/design of the work, data acquisition/analysis/interpretation, AND have drafted or substantively revised the work, AND have approved the final version, AND agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work. Provision of funding, mere technical assistance, and finding subjects, though essential to the work, are not considered as authorship. All authors should contribute to the article through critical reviewing the initial draft and approving the final manuscript. The corresponding author takes the responsibility for the whole work by assuring that all authors meet the criteria for authorship.
Copyright and License Agreement
- Upon manuscript acceptance, the corresponding author will be required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement or, if the journal is Open Access, to agree to the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) License. The specific agreement will be provided during the acceptance process.
