Manuscripts that pass initial screening are normally sent to at least two independent external peer reviewers with expertise in the manuscript’s subject area. Whenever possible, at least two reviewers will be external to the journal’s Editorial Board and at least one reviewer will be from outside the authors’ institution and, where feasible, from a scientifically advanced country to ensure international perspective.
In certain cases (for statistical appraisal, specialised methods, or when external reviewers are unavailable), an additional member of the Editorial Board or a methodological/statistical reviewer may be invited.
Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript’s originality, scientific rigor, adherence to ethical standards, clarity of presentation, and suitability for the journal.
